Climate Change & Social Justice: Action Days

Two major events in Vermont to bring awareness to climate change and social justice issues:
  • On May 1st, the Vermont Worker Center, in partnership with 350VT and dozens of social and climate justice groups, will stage the first “Put People First: One Movement for People & the Planet” march and rally in Montpelier. More info: May 1st March & Rally here (and on Facebook here).
  • On May 5th, people and organizations from across the state will join a 350.org global day of action. We’ll be calling the world’s attention to local climate change impacts in Vermont, and converging en masse for a forum and “Connect the Dots” rally in Waitsfield. More info: May 5th “Connect the Dots” event here (and on Facebook here).
‎Bill McKibben will speak at both of these events! Increasingly, at least in Vermont, climate change is recognized as both an epic threat to our global future and a pressing call to fix the flaws in our struggling democracy. Vermonters are more energized than ever to come together as one movement on May 1st & 5th.
