The Gospel of Mark: a Storytelling Performance (Sat, Apr 5)

Well-known and highly acclaimed storyteller and singer-songwriter, Rev. Bert Marshall, will present a live performance of “The Gospel of Mark Alive – A Story Telling Performance” at 4:30pm on Saturday, April 5 at First Congregational Church of Burlington. The entire community is welcome to enjoy this amazing performance that has been given to rave reviews throughout New England and beyond.

A master storyteller, Bert uses music, drums and his extraordinary speaking and singing voice to present the Gospel of Mark from memory. Admission is free for this event that is for all ages; there will be a “free will offering” for Church World Service. Rev. Bert Marshall is the New England Regional Director for Church World Service. This event is sponsored by our Youth Ministries, Children’s Ministries, Adult Christian Education Committee, and by Bethany Church (UCC) of Randolph and the Burlington CROP Hunger Walk. You are also invited for Lunch with Bert Marshall – “Organizing for Effective Global Mission Work”: On Saturday, April 5 there will be a lunch with the Rev. Bert Marshall from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m. at First Congregational Church. All are invited to learn more about the global mission of Church World Service (CWS). Please plan to come and join in an interesting and educational discussion about the global impact of our CROP Hunger Walk and the work of CWS!
