Siriwayo “Emmanuel” Lusenge

Since 2006, Emmanuel has served First Church on our Security Staff. Originally from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Emmanuel moved to Vermont in 2000. His experiences from a twenty-year career working as a Project Manager for the U.N. in several European, Caribbean and West African countries was helpful as he joined with other immigrants and refugees living in Vermont to form the Association of Africans Living in Vermont.  Emmanuel served as AALV’s Executive Director for five years and continues serving the organization currently as a member of their Board of Directors.  Emmanual earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture in the DRC and is currently studying accounting at Champlain College, he lives in Winooski with his wife and family. He has 7 adult children.
