All are invited to Pastor Sally May’s ordination this Sunday, September 18th at 2pm at the Second Congregational Church of Jeffersonville, United Church of Christ. We hope that many from First Congregational Church UCC of Burlington will be able to attend. For reasons of practicality (parking) and fellowship (travel with conversation!), we are inviting all who can, to carpool from 38 South Winooski Avenue. To carpool, please plan to meet at church by 12:15 so that we can leave before 12:30. If you know that you need a ride, or would like to drive others, please contact Lucy Samara. Thank you.
There will be two offerings received during the ordination worship service. Checks made payable to the Second Congregational UCC, Jeffersonville, will be divided between the UCC’s Champlain Association (to support those in the discernment process to serve as clergy in the UCC) and the Vermont Partnership for Fairness and Diversity. Offerings of non-perishable food will be given to the Cambridge Food Shelf.
A reception at the church will follow the ordination service. All are also invited to the May’s home (about a mile from the church in Jeffersonville) for more food and fellowship following the church reception.
