To volunteer at the event as a greeter, crossing guard or to register walkers – please contact Lucy Samara for more information. Thank you!
The 38th Annual CROP Hunger Walk will bring together faith communities and schools from throughout our region on Sunday, October 8 to take a stand against hunger.
The event will start from our own First Congregational Church UCC of Burlington on October 8 at 2 p.m.; registration for walkers opens at 1:30.
One of more than 2,000 CROP Hunger Walks held each year in the U.S. – our local CROP Hunger Walk provides financial assistance to JUMP (5%; www.jumpvt.org); the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf (20%; www.feedingchittenden.org) and most significantly to the international hunger relief and development work of Church World Service (75%; www.cwsglobal.org).
Youth and adults, families and groups – your participation is needed to raise funds to help make the event a success! Please mark your calendar for October 8 and plan to help our 38th local CROP Hunger Walk help people in need locally and globally. Pick up a CROP Hunger Walk packet at church &/or register online today at: https://www.crophungerwalk.org/burlingtonvt.
