Building Use and Space Rentals

A variety of meeting and performance spaces are available for rent by groups, businesses and/or individuals. Descriptions and photographs of each space follow below; most available spaces are fully accessible and served by accessible restrooms.

Weddings at First Church

First Congregational Church of Burlington offers its historic Sanctuary and intimate Chapel for wedding ceremonies, welcoming all couples, including interfaith and LGBTQ+ partnerships, according to our status as an Open and Affirming Church in the United Church of Christ.

Couples are invited to collaborate with church ministers for premarital counseling and service planning, including appropriate musical selections and reception planning.

Funeral Requests

First Congregational Church provides a welcoming and compassionate space for funeral and memorial services in its historic Sanctuary or intimate Chapel. Interment services are also available.

Meetings, Concerts and Other Events

The large Sanctuary, smaller Chapel, and Dining Room can accommodate larger gatherings, with flexible setups available in the Chapel and Dining Room. Additional smaller spaces, such as the Stone Room, Conference Room, Library, and Classrooms, are ideal for seminars or small meetings.

The church also supports the arts, offering excellent venues for concerts, recitals, and performances. The Sanctuary features superb natural acoustics and has hosted events like the Mozart Festival and First Night concerts. The Chapel, with its baby grand piano, provides an intimate setting for smaller recitals, while the Dining Room, with a stage and hardwood floor, is perfect for theatrical or dance rehearsals, small productions, or photography shoots.
