Five Amazing Choral Groups – One Important Cause…
VT Sings for Peace + Workshops with Rev. Bert Marshall
Sing! Sing! Sing! We are hosting a fabulous choral concert to benefit the 35th Annual CROP Hunger Walk! Vermont’s highly acclaimed Counterpoint Vocal Chorus has invited the following choral ensembles to prepare songs on the theme of Peace and Justice for the 2014 Vermont Sings for Peace Concert at First Congregational Church of Burlington, 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 21.
- The Vermont Youth Orchestra Concert Chorale
- The South County Chorus from Hinesburg
- The Montpelier Community Gospel Choir
- and Counterpoint Vocal Chorus!
Admission to the concert is free! There will be a “free will offering” and refreshments for sale to benefit the Burlington CROP Hunger Walk!
Special Focus on Local and Global Hunger Relief
All are invited to meet with Rev. Bert Marshall, New England Regional Director of Church World Service, at 3 p.m., or immediately following the concert at 6 p.m., to learn more about the positive hunger relief impact of the CROP Hunger Walk. On Sunday, October 12, the Burlington CROP Hunger Walk will celebrate 35 years of effective global and local hunger relief work!
