On Sunday, April 12, Lucy Samara, Director of High School Youth Ministries, and Pastor Sally May, Interim Associate Minister, will offer two opportunities (at 9:15am and again at 11:15am) at church for parents and high school youth to gather to hear the details about – and get registration information for – our upcoming YETS Trip to Boston (Tuesday, June 16 – Sunday, June 21) and the YES Program in Burlington (July 6 – 9). Please plan to come and learn more at whichever time is most convenient for you.
Lucy and Sally will be leading the YETS Trip to Boston, which will include fellowship, faith and service experiences. We will experience the mid-week summer jazz worship service at the UCC’s Old South Church in Boston, as well as “The Church in the Woods” in New Hampshire on our way back to Vermont. Our group will serve in a variety of ways in several of City Mission Society of Boston’s designated service sites that are key to the community’s most positive awareness raising and practical responses to poverty, hunger and homelessness. We will also experience life in the city of Boston – a service, worship and life adventure not to be missed!
Also on Sunday, April 12: “Worship in Many Traditions!” All high schoolers are invited to explore faith traditions together. Our first expedition will be to the Sunday evening Folk Mass at Saint Michael’s College. Let’s gather at First Church at 6pm for conversation and go to worship in the SMC Chapel – on the Campus in Colchester – at 7pm. RSVP to Lucy (click the link to email, or text/call: 802.598.0746).
